Chocolate Martini with a Strawberry Twist

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day or just treating yourself, this cocktail turns any evening into something worth savoring.

Vodka Martini Ingredients

What ingredients do I need to make a Strawberry Chocolate Martini?

• Naturipe® Strawberries
• Sugar
• Water
• Vodka
• Half and Half (or Whole Milk)
• Ice
• Chocolate Syrup
• Sprinkles

How do you Make a Strawberry Martini?

Step one, the syrup: Simply combine Naturipe® Strawberries, sugar and water in a sauce pan. Heat for two minutes until mixture thickens. Strain or Remove the strawberries and place in a jar for later use.

Step two — Once the simple syrup is cool, you can begin to make our version of the Strawberry Chocolate Martini!

Step three, prepare your martini glasses by dipping your glass into chocolate syrup. This will allow the sprinkles to stick to the rim in the next step. If you don’t want the added chocolate on the rim, you can dip the rim in water.

Four, dip your glass red sprinkles.

TIP: You want a light coating of chocolate syrup. Too much syrup and it will begin to run down your glass!

Five — Now swirl a light coating of chocolate syrup to the inside of the glass. Again, if you don’t want the added sugar or chocolate, you can skip this step, but, it makes for a pretty looking glass!

Simply place Naturipe® Strawberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Muddle the strawberries.

And last, add in the vodka, simple syrup and half and half along with crushed ice.

Shake the cocktail shaker (make sure you put the top on) until the shaker begins to chill.

Pour into your martini glass, garnish with a strawberry and enjoy!

Ingredients

• ▢ Simple Syrup:
• ▢ 2 cups Naturipe® Strawberries
• ▢ 2 cups Water
• ▢ 2 cups Sugar
• ▢ Recipe Ingredients:
• ▢ 4 oz Vodka
• ▢ 2 oz. Strawberry Simple Syrup recipe above
• ▢ 3 ounces Half and Half or Whole Milk
• ▢ 1 cup Crushed Ice
• ▢ 1/2 cup Naturipe® Strawberries for muddling
• ▢ 1 tablespoon Water
• ▢ 1 tablespoon Sugar
• ▢ Sprinkles Red Sugar
• ▢ Chocolate Syrup
• ▢ Naturipe® Strawberries for garnish

Instructions 

• Strawberry Simple Syrup
• In a medium saucepan, cook all ingredients together over medium heat for 20 minutes.
• Strain mixture.
• Cocktail
• Make simple syrup (see directions above).
• Prepare martini glass by dipping the rim in chocolate syrup and then sugar sprinkles.
• Swirl chocolate syrup in circular patterns inside the martini glass.
• In a cocktail shaker, muddle fresh Naturipe® Strawberries.
• Add in vodka, simple syrup, milk and crushed ice.
• Shake vigorously until combined and chilled.
• Pour into prepared cocktail glass and garnish with Naturipe® Strawberries.
