Blueberry cinnamon roll casserole is everything you love about soft, doughy cinnamon rolls, with a few mom-friendly shortcuts to save you time. Cut premade cinnamon roll dough into pieces and top with classic brown sugar, melted butter, and fresh Naturipe® blueberries. Don’t forget to add our homemade blueberry icing (it’s crazy easy, promise!).
We love a classic cinnamon roll, layered with warm cinnamon, soft doughy pastry bread, and topped with a drizzle of icing. It’s nostalgic, cozy, and perfect for slow Sunday mornings and holiday breakfasts.
But we don’t typically have the time to make cinnamon rolls from scratch…so we didn’t!

Blueberry cinnamon roll casserole is sponsored by Naturipe®.
We used pre-made cinnamon rolls, cut them up into smaller pieces, and topped them with cinnamon, butter, and cream for extra cinnamony flavor.
At The Produce Moms, we are always looking for ways to add fresh produce to every meal. Often, berries get overlooked during the winter months. But they add a fresh element that’s always bursting with juicy sweetness.
Not only did we add fresh blueberries to our cinnamon roll casserole, but we also made a homemade blueberry sauce to mix with the icing. An easy way to take your cinnamon rolls to the next level.

Naturipe® Blueberries
Berries are a fun way to add something fresh to a comforting classic like cinnamon rolls. We used Naturipe® Farm Fresh Blueberries because they are juicy, sweet, and full of bursting flavor. We chose blueberries for this casserole bake because they are a good source of fiber and antioxidant vitamin C, perfect for winter months. You look like a superhero to your kids, but they still get some good nutrition from these naturally blue berries that are full of good stuff.
We always prefer fresh blueberries for a more intense, succulent berry flavor. But you can also use frozen berries if that’s what is available to you. Either way, look for the Naturipe® label when you make your blueberry cinnamon roll casserole.

Cinnamon Roll Dough
Here’s the biggest shortcut: one can of premade cinnamon roll dough. This is the best part about this cinnamon roll breakfast bake. No kneading or rolling out the dough cuts down the prep time. Next, you’ll need some melted butter, brown sugar, and heavy cream, and your blueberry cinnamon rolls are ready to bake.
Icing
Add our homemade blueberry sauce to one of the icing packets included with the premade cinnamon roll dough for extra blueberry flavor. It’s made with ingredients you probably already have on hand and is our favorite blueberry addition to this cinnamon roll casserole.
How to Make Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls into a Casserole
Now let’s turn our premade cinnamon roll dough into a breakfast casserole bake.

Step 1: Prep the cinnamon rolls.
While the oven preheats to 350℉, spray a baking dish with cooking spray. We made ours in a pie dish, but you can easily double it and put it in a 9X13 baking pan. Tap the can of cinnamon roll dough on the countertop at an angle until it pops open. Set the included icing packet aside for later.
Separate the cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into 4-6 smaller pieces with kitchen scissors or a knife. Then, evenly place the cinnamon roll pieces in the prepared baking dish.

Step 2: Add the blueberries and toppings.
Evenly add your fresh Naturipe® blueberries over the top of your cut-up cinnamon roll pieces. Use a fork to mix the melted butter and brown sugar in a small bowl until smooth, and pour evenly over the casserole. Then, add the heavy cream over the top to keep your roll pieces moist while baking.

Step 3: Bake and make the blueberry sauce.
Pop your beautiful blueberry cinnamon roll casserole into the oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and the edges easily pull away from the pan.
While your casserole bakes, make your homemade blueberry sauce on the stovetop in just 10 minutes. Then, mix it with the icing packets and drizzle over your baked blueberry cinnamon roll casserole and serve!
